SWINNEY TO SUPPORT BREATHE EASY WEEK

Perthshire North MSP, Mr John Swinney, will be in Perth on Monday, to help celebrate “Breathe Easy Week”.  Breathe Easy Perthshire, the Perthshire support group of the British Lung Foundation (BLF), is having a manned information table at Perth Royal Infirmary from Monday 13th to Wednesday 15th June and on Friday 17^th.

Speaking in advance of the event, Mr Swinney said:

“Breathe Easy Perthshire do a fantastic job in supporting those with debilitating lung conditions, through their monthly group meetings in Perth.

“The theme of this year’s ‘Breathe Easy Week’ is breathlessness.  Individuals who experience breathlessness are being encouraged to take a lung function test, or go to their doctor or respiratory nurse for a test, as so much more can now be done to help them.

 “The information stand at Perth Royal Infirmary will provide the opportunity for people to find out more about the organisation and see what help is available.

“I look forward to meeting with the group and offering them my support.”
