Swinney supports Age Scotland survey
Perthshire North MSP, Mr John Swinney, has today encouraged his constituents to share their views on housing and household energy with Age Scotland.
Mr Swinney’s call comes as Age Scotland launch a new survey for those aged 55 and over. The survey, which aims to provide better understanding of the housing priorities and habits of older people, will help Age Scotland continue to build their evidence base on how well older people are living in their homes.
Commenting, Mr Swinney said:
“Age Scotland play a vital role in representing the interests of older people. We know that ensuring that older people have a home that meets their requirements is vital for their health and happiness, and I would therefore encourage all of my constituents to engage with this survey.
“The results of Age Scotland’s survey in 2017 played a substantive role in influencing national housing strategies and relevant legislation in the Scottish Parliament. I am hopeful that there will be an even more enthusiastic response to this latest survey, so as to ensure that the needs of older people are properly identified and represented.”
Paper copies of the survey are available from Mr Swinney’s constituency office at 17-19 Leslie Street, Blairgowrie, PH10 6AH. A digital version can be filled in via http://www.age.scot/housingsurvey. A paper copy can be ordered via 0333 323 2400.
