Perthshire North MSP, Mr John Swinney, is to visit Highland Boundary, a new distillery set up within his constituency.

The distillery, the brainchild of Dr Marian Bruce and Simon Montador, is producing Scandinavian-style spirits using locally sourced Scottish botanicals. By using handpicked botanicals, Highland Boundary seek to capture the flavours of the Scottish wilderness. Highland Boundary received Interface funding to assist with the creation of their first spirit, which they developed in conjunction with the Heriot Watt University International Centre for Brewing and Distilling

“I am very much looking forward to visiting Highland Boundary. Marian and Simon are incredibly passionate about their work, and I am confident that their first spirit will serve as a fitting tribute to both Scotland and their local community of Alyth.

“Marian and Simon have long been active in their community, from co-founding the Alyth Development Trust to operating Kirklandbank Farm. Moreover, they are passionate about developing local jobs. The latest diversification of their business portfolio is an exciting opportunity for a thriving local business to continue growing.
