Swinney in dialogue with MJ Ventilation liquidators

Publised date : 04 Nov 2019

Perthshire North MSP, Mr John Swinney, has today spoken with representatives from Campbell Dallas, the appointed liquidators for MJ Ventilation.

This is the latest step Mr Swinney has taken to offer support to former employees of MJ Ventilation. Last week, he raised their case directly with Jamie Hepburn, Minister for Business, Fair Work and Skills, in addition to liaising with former employees.

Commenting, Mr Swinney said:

“The discussions with representatives of Campbell Ogilvie were informative and productive.

“I was assured that information is being made available to former staff regarding support services available, such as Partnership Action for Continuing Employment (PACE). I also stressed the need for continued communication and an open dialogue with former employees.

“In the days and weeks ahead, I will continue to liaise with both the Scottish Government and Scottish Enterprise to ensure that all available support is made available for former MJ Ventilation staff.

“I am also keen to explore every chance to support any new business opportunity to fill the gap left by the loss of MJ Ventilation and to create employment for those who have been affected by this difficult situation.”
