Swinney visits Kindrogan Centre
Perthshire North MSP, John Swinney, recently paid a visit to Kindrogan Field Centre following upgrade work to part of the building at the site. The upgrades to the accommodation block will allow more people to use the Centre, at any given time.
As part of upgrade work at the Centre, Kindrogan now has greater overnight capacity and improved disabled access to its facilities. With future upgrading planned – including the installation of new energy efficiency measures – the local MSP visited ahead of what is hoped could be the Centre’s busiest winter.
Commenting on his visit, Mr Swinney said:
“It is always a pleasure to visit Kindrogan and to see just what activities are taking place throughout the year. I am very pleased to see that the site has been upgraded and that the changes that have been made will allow more people to enjoy the wonderful facilities available at the Centre.
“I am also very pleased to see the strong educational connection between the Centre and the University of Edinburgh, in particular. I am equally impressed by the number of different activities taking place at the Centre which is open to school groups and families alike.
With such diverse activities taking place – from weaving classes to ambitious programmes run by University geography students using drones to survey the surrounding area – at any given time, the Kindrogan Centre is a truly excellent resource in a spectacular setting.”
