Swinney visits Marie Curie bus
Perthshire North MSP, Mr John Swinney, has visited the Marie Curie Bus during its latest stop in Perthshire.
The bus, which seeks to promote the work that Marie Curie undertake within the community and to offer free help to those with concerns about terminal illness, is currently on a 12 week tour of Scotland.
Mr Swinney met with Marie Curie Nurse Manager Lesley Middleton and Nurse Ruth Cameron, along with Marie Curie fundraisers to discuss the importance of their work.
Commenting, Mr Swinney said:
“Marie Curie provide an invaluable service to those battling terminal illness, in addition to offering valuable support to their families.
“I was a pleasure to meet with Marie Curie staff and fundraisers to learn more about their hugely important work in the local area and across Scotland as a whole.
“I pay tribute to Marie Curie’s extraordinary impact, and I am hopeful that this great charity can continue to prosper in the years ahead.”
